| Abstract;We report noncovalent molecular assembling strategy utilizing the interactions between crown ether and metal cations with orthogonally arranged meso-meso coupled diporphyrin. Crown ether appended meso-meso coupled diporphyrin was synthesized and its spectroscopic studies have revealed that interactions with metal ion form polymer architecture by divergent function. In contrast, the crown ether appended porphyrin monomer form the only dimer. (author abst.) |
