Abstract; In this study, we dynamically controlled the cavity structures of steroid cyclophanes placed at the air-water interface and demonstrated repeatable piezoluminescence based on molecular recognition. The binding of an aqueous fluorescent probe to the monolayer of the steroid cyclophane was investigated using surface-reflective fluorescence spectroscopy. Repeated compression and expansion cycles induced a periodic change in the fluorescence intensity increase upon binding. (author abst.)
