Abstract;Molecular capsules create isolated microspaces inside their frameworks. Here we report the transition metal-directed assembly of a stable, nanometer sized hexahedral coordination capsule (3) from six triangular exo-pentadentate organic ligands (1) and fifteen transition metals (2). On the other hand, the quantitative assembly of coordination tetrahedral capsule (6) from ligands 5 and transition metals 2 was achieved with the aid of the remarkable template molecule.
