Abstract;According to the widespread of Internet, various Internet failures are serious problems. If an Internet failure is happened outside a user's network, it is difficult to find a location of the failure. The authors are proposing the procedures of the Internet failure detection by retrying a communication for which a user reported any problems. The purpose of our approach is to detect various Internet failures, such as failures caused by congestion and those caused by protocol procedures as well as a hardware failure. In this paper, the authors present the design of the Internet failure detection server based on a communication retrial. (author abst.)
