Abstract;A series of diphenylamino-substituted 2,5-diarylsiloles has been prepared and their photophysical and electrochemical properties have been determined. The single layer EL devices with the ITO/silole/Mg:Ag configuration emitted a greenish-yellow light with a high luminous efficiency. (author abst.)
