Abstract; The clinical data and results of photocoagulation treatment for 23 eyes of 23 patients with parafoveal telangiectasis were studied. All patients were group 1, according to the classification system of Gass and Blodi: 17 eyes were classified as 1A and 6 as 1B. All eyes were treated by laser photocoagulation for aneurysms and telangiectasis in the parafoveal area with macular edema or lipid exudation. After treatment, macular edema and lipid exudation disappeared in all cases, and aneurysms and telangiectasis disappeared or improved. Moreover, visual acuity improved in most patients. (author abst.)
