| Abstract;History of science is the history of mixing and hybridization of different area and fields. Just like as these mixings, the starting of medical informatics was the hybridization between information technology and hospital administration. However, mixing and hybridization were disseminated and repeated in every fields of medical informatics and rebuilt new fields of information science. Then, what technological and medical areas comprised this mixture? I can say that medical informatics was created in some concentrated period of time, by the compulsory mixture of the technology, information technology, machine control and image processing, and medicine arriving from radiology, laboratory, nursing, hospital administration. I cannot end this talk without mentioning the problems of standardization. We illustrated one successful cases of standardization in laboratory automation. Finally, I will point out the problem of risk management in the hospital site. I stress that the safety control in hospital could not established without supports of medical informatics.
