Abstract;Tribocharging behaviors of a fluorinated ferroelectric polymer [poly(VDF-co-TeFE)] film with iron carrier beads were conducted under controlled atmospheres, and their humidity dependence was investigated. Charging ability of the film was dependent on thermal annealing and poling treatments, but was not on relative humidity, being the support of our previously-reported "water-penetration model". Additionally, tribocharging experiments of poly(VDF-co-TeFE)/polystyrene layered films revealed that humidity-independent features develops when the thickness of the former film exceeds ca. 0.7 .MU.m.
