| Abstract;We have analyzed tribo-charging charactcristics on several kinds of toner particles in two-component developer. These characteristics are affected by various factors, such as materials and methods of tribo-charging. We have made a shaker for tribo-charging, which is based on the recommended design by the Imaging Society of Japan. We evaluated tribo-charging characteristics on toner particles of styrene-acrylic copolymer in contact with non-coated ferrite carrier beads through the shaker by the E-SPART analyzer. The two types of toner samples are prepared by adding negative or positive CCA. The saturation curve for the negative shows that the absolute value of q/m increases rapidly within 1-2 minutes and tends to a constant value of about 10 .MU. C/g. (author abst.) |
