| Abstract;A trends of recently announced desktop tandem color lasers is reviewed. Requirements for signal exposure systems are higher raster speed and correct color registration. An LED array is suitable for this purpose, on the other hand, laser systems also improve their performances. Improvement of fusing system is another issue for color. Although oil-free fusing systems become employed, quick warm-up is still a stringent problem. Furthermore miscellaneous technologies are incorporated in tandem systems, such as, trickle development, air-transport of toner, cleaner-less process, and so on. These technologies improve durability and reliability of machines. (author abst.) |
