| Abstract;The gloss and gloss fluctuation is one of the important quality metrics for the image quality. In this paper, we will report a study of measuring and sensory evaluation method of gloss fluctuation. We designed measuring apparatus of gloss fluctuation using CCD camera and co-axial paralleled lighting device. Using the above-mentioned apparatus, we developed a new method for the evaluation of gloss fluctuation from analysis of the colorimetric fluctuations in the spatial frequency domain. So we succeeded to estimate the subjective evaluated value of gloss fluctuation using the visual transfer function (VTF) and the mean metric lightness. The relationship between the sensory metrics and its predicted values was 0.904 in square of correlation coefficient. (author abst.) |
