| Abstract;Hitherto discarded appliances were disposed in the ground. Since the enforcement of Home Electric Appliances Recycling Law, consumers are to pay the bills for disposal and manufacturers are to recover the appliances to recommercialize/dispose. For recommercialization, export, collection/recovery of materials by type, and crushing/thermal recycling are carried out. The manufacturers have an obligation to recover and recycle TVs, washing machines, refrigerators and air conditioners in accordance with the Recycling Law. The manufacturer established designated collection places. Prevention of unlawful dumping is important. |
