Abstract; So far the definition of psychosis has not been clearly stated, one can determine psychosis as disorganization of "corps psychique" by analyzing the meanings of psychopathological symptoms and abnormalities of the psyche. Next, the relationship of the brain and mind is investigated, then the integrative theory of the brain and mind is formulated. Consciousness is thought to be composed of three consistent layers. Psychopathological symptoms are caused by a disruption of the relationship between conseciousness and localized brain functions. In the formation of psychosis the new concept of the "inducing factor" which includes both physical agents and psychological dynamics is introduced. The formation of psychosis can be divided into simple and complex processes. Furthermore, "time" as one of the inducing and modifying factors plays a very important role. The importance of the "classification" and "diagnosis" of psychosis is emphasized. Finally, the meaning of the therapy for psychosis is investigated. (author abst.)
