| Abstract;In past 3 years the following studies were made: 1) Systematic review of treating methods, 2) Comparison of substance use disorder patients between northern Kyushu and Hawaii, 3) Study of drug abuse countermeasures in U.S.A. and comparison with Australia. The results proved the following facts. 1) Clinical trials on treating methods were actively made in the English zone to accumulate abundant reliable medical information. Regarding the amphetamine relation failure, evidences have been accumulated, effective therapy has been proved, and detailed treatment guidelines have been published. No clinical trials were made in Japan. 2) In Hawaii, antihypnotic abuse started in 1980s, and most of diagnosis receiving patients have been antihypnotic dependence since the middle of 1990s. 3) Both Japanese and American patients were similar in psychopathologic condition of antihypnotic dependence patient individual. Therapy effective to American patients is considered to be effective to Japanese patients. 4) There are a remarkable differences between Japan and U.S.A. in poor people problem and overall criminal percentage, medical insurance system, regulation on substance abuse, diagnosis receiving behavior of patients, using percentage of illegal drugs, and so on. 5) U.S.A. are doing various contrivance in order to penetrate effective therapy. U.S.A. has accreditations and workshops for counselors, publishing of treatment guideline, antihypnotics clinical trial network, and so on. Measures for penetrating treatment methods should be taken in Japan, too. |
