Abstract;Iridescent polymer-solvent mixture of poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and anisole was studied by temperature-modulated DSC. A moderate stepwise change was observed on real part of DDSC curve between 20 to 60.DEG.C., where the iridescent color changed. Temperature of the step change depended on the composition of mixture. The temperature dependence of iridescence of the polymer mixture has been attributed to the conformational changes of PHEMA chains. (author abst.)
