| Abstract;The titled equipment is a power assisted carriage for conveyance of merchandises, with which running is ensured through direct driving of the wheels. While, in an ordinary case, the force applied by an operator increases along with an increase in the loaded weight, in the case of this carriage, assisting force is generated as the pushing force exceeds certain value, and makes a control so that constrant force may be maintained. The carriage is available for use either indoors or outdoors, and it can follow a normal walk (about 4 km/h) and a quick walk (about 6km/h). This equipment can perform a full day operation by one charging. A driving motor is installed on each of the left side and right and controlled independently in view of the turning performance. Coordinated left and right control is carried out to improve the straight running performance, when an input is made to the same direction. This paper presents that the weight of the main body is about 35 kg, the maximum assisting power is 169.4 N, and the burden on the operator is 30 N even in the case of 10-degree gradient with the loaded weight of 65 kg. |
