| Abstract;Laser flash method for heat capacity, thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity measurements is reviewed and prospected. This method has some advantages, compared with the direct thermal conductivity measurements. It is one of most popular methods for diffusivity measurements, and the various investigations have been carried out from view of the measurement accuracy and the standardization. On the other hand, it has the severe limitations for the measurements on thin films, micro regions, or transparent materials. The ultra short and high energy laser pulses will be useful in order to overcome the present limitations. (author abst.) |
