| Abstract;Thermal behavior in the process of electrochemical doping and de-doping of anions on the polypyrrole in aqueous solutions was investigated. The temperature change due to constant current was differentially detected by using thermistors. The exothrmic and endothermic changes in the doping and de-doping process, respectively, was observed in each aqueous solution(pH=6.5) of NaClO4,NaNO3,NaBr and Na2SO4. The proportional relation between the electric quantity and the heat generated and absorbed on the polypyrrole was recognized. The temperature change observed depended strongly upon the kind of anions. This may reflect the dependence of the entropy change of the doping and de-doping process on the kind of anions.
