Abstract;Isothermal titration calorimetry in the study of intermolecular interactions for drug-carrier systems are discussed. Biopharmaceutical applications have been developed in the interactions of bio-components with ionic drugs, involving the molecular recognitions by .ALPHA.1-acid glycoprotein and/or human serum albumin, erythrocyte membrane bindings and hemolysis, inclusion complexations with .BETA.-cyclodextrins, and transdelmal enhancing.
