Abstract;The LH complex of photosynthetic bacteria can be reconstituted using separately isolated .ALPHA.- and .BETA.-polypeptides from R. rubrum and Zn-BChla in n-Octyl .BETA.-D-glucopyranoside (OG) micelle. We studied the addition effects of halothane, isoflurane and enflurane on the LH complex (LH-.ALPHA.,.BETA./Zn-BChla and LH-.ALPHA./Zn-BChla) reconstituted in OG micelle. The stability on the reconstituted complex was analyzed by thermodynamic parameter using the UV-vis. spectral change of the LH complex. (author abst.)
