Abstract; We designed a sensor peptide based on FRET. A 10mer sensor peptide (GSYEADRGGC) was synthesized and modified with rhodamine B and fluorescein at the terminals. The FRET property was investigated after forming a complex with the 12mer peptides as model analyte molecules. The resulting fluorescence spectrum clearly changed by addition of the analyte peptide. The FRET from Flu to Rho was reduced by forming a complex. The FRET behavior strongly depended on sequence of the analyte peptide as well as the analyte concentration. (author abst.)
