| Abstract; In recent years, the die materials for magnesium alloys die casting are being improved, because the demand of magnesium alloy has increased. However, as the present die materials are inferior in releasability, it is the present situation that many die release agent is used. Therefore, in order to investigate releasability of the die materials for molding of magnesium alloy, contact angle between a flat disk made of the die materials and molten AZ91D alloy extruded from the hole in it was measured and wettability between them was evaluated(Extrusion method). As a results, it found that contact angle of SK3 containing alloy elements little was wide compared with other steels containing many alloy elements like SKD61, SUS440 and so on. In other words, SK3 is superior in releasability to other steels. Moreover, the effects of some surface treatments to SKD61 were evaluated, and a carburized specimen indicated wide contact angle and was excellent in releasability. Also, a sulphonitrided specimen was comparatively excellent in releasability, too. (author abst.) |
