| Abstract;The case of applying the computer simulation to the passage way design of the mold for the quality improvement in a car component foundry was introduced.In the conventional passage way design,it was proven that the entrainment of bubbles,etc. had been occurred by the turbulence of the flow in the passage way of casting in the observation by the video camera.The design of the passage way was optimized by the computer simulation of the metal flow.As the result,the yield was improved.The electricity rate was reduced,and the mold exchange frequency also decreased. |
