| Abstract;Recently, automobiles are equipped wirh car navigation system, where an advanced electronic technology is used. It is feared that the method of transmission of information from such equipment or the method of operator's manipulation may cause an obstruction of the safety during driving. Then, it was decided to organize a review meeting, which should proceed with a study for establishing any necessary safety standards. This report is the summary of a preliminary study for the above-said purpose, and includes the followings. 1) Investigation on the present state of accidents caused by the use of car-navigation, 2) Invistigation on the case studies in the past, 3) Problems to be studied in relation to the safety when using car-navigation, 4) Summary, 5) Reference literatures.
