Abstract; We observed eight patients of Behcet disease with ocular involvement who developed tinnitus or hearing impairment. The auditory disturbances appeared one to three years after onset of recurrent ocular symptoms. They occurred simultaneously with attacks in the posterior eye segment including retinal vasculitis. They started as high-tone tinnitus and resulted in hearing loss later. The findings show that auditory disturbances are integral clinical features of Behcet disease. (author abst.)
