| Abstract; We reviewed the outcome of trabeculotomy for congenital glaucoma associated with dysgenesis of anterior ocular segment in 13 eyes of 7 cases. Sclerocornea was present in all the 13 eyes. Other anomalies included posterior embryotoxon 6 eyes, congenital iris ectopion 3 eyes, Peters' anomaly 2 eyes and sectorial iris heterochromia 1 eye. Control of intraocular pressure was obtained after one session of trabeculotomy in 7 eyes. The other 6 eyes, which had either Peters' anomaly or iris ectropion, had to be treated by additional surgeries. The findings show that the effect of trabeculotomy may differ depending on the type and severity of associated ocular anomalies. (author abst.) |
