Abstract;A 42-year-old male was hit in his left eye by a rubber rope one day before. His corrected visual acuity was 1.0 right and 0.3 left. Funduscopy showed retinal detachment of 2 disc diameters in the macular area. Fluorescein angiography showed hypofluorescence in the macula during the early phase followed by patchy hyperfluorescence with a dye leakage spot. It appeared that maculopathy simulating central serous chorioretinopathy in this case was induced by direct damage to the retinal pigment epithelium and by damaged choroidal circulation due to constusion.
