| Abstract;Gallium-67 accumulation into the liver of partially hepatectomized rats reached a maximum 2 days after partial hepatectomy. The activity of plasma FXIII from hepatectomized rats reached a minimum (70% of levels in normal rats) 2 days after partial hepatectomy. Time course of plasma FXIII activity is inversely related to 67Ga accumulation pattern. The determination of plasma FXIII activity is a simple and rapid diagnosis procedure and may be used for the estimation to the recover of the liver function after partial hepatectomy. The determination of 67Ga accumulation into the liver after partial hepatectomy indicates the liver regenerating process but may be not proper for the imaging of regenerating liver function in man because of low liver-to-blood ratio.
