Abstract; We have studied molecular recognition between nucleobases or guest-inclusion on organic host crystals on a quartz-crystal microbalance(QCM) in various media such as gas phase, water phase, and supercritical fluid. Binding constants (Ka) between host and guest molecules were in the order of gas>supercritical fluid>water, responding to the solvation of guest or host molecules in each medium. From binding kinetics in three different media, dissociation rate constants (k-1) were almost constant independent of media, and binding rate constants (k1) were largely different from media, which reflects binding constants (Ka).
