| Abstract;A popular commercial DBMS, the relational DBMS is built under the assumption of the existence of a database administrator. It is inappropriate to manage data whose dependencies are dynamically changing. We use the cellular model to model web-based information spaces for designing the cellular DBMS. The advantages of the cellular DBMS relative to the RDB are: (1) the data output capability having objects as units, (2) Reusability of dynamically changing cells by homotopy invariants. We also demonstrate the cell DBMS decreases the data output cost dramatically. (author abst.) |
