| Abstract;In vivo roles of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system are described, and the test methods of this system are outlined. Practice of various test methods for the renin- angiotensin system (measurement of renin and angiotensin, stimulation test and inhibition test of renin, examination using the renin-angiotensin system suppression drug, injection test of angiotensin II) is described. In addition, various test methods for aldosterone (measurement of plasma aldosterone level and urinary aldosterone excretion amount, aldosterone-stimulation test) are described. |
