Abstract;We evaluated the change in nasal symptoms of individual patients with birch pollinosis in the birch pollen season. These patients received emedastin difumarate(DAREN) at least 2 weeks before the day when birch pollen began to become airborne. Ten patients enrolled in this study. We were able to classify changes in nasal symptoms into 2 groups. One group showed weak to moderate nasal symptom scores, and evidenced no peak nasal symptom scores during the birch pollen season. The other group showed peak nasal symptoms in the middle or late phase of the birch season. (author abst.)
