Abstract;The principle, application and precaution in the use of thermometry were explained mainly by using radiation energy. Countermeasures to emissivity, propagation route and background noise which are measurement error factors of the thermometry by infrared sensor to detect infrared radiation energy from the object surface. An example of diagnosis of heat insulation condition of steam piping using thermography to recognize temperature distribution of the subject quickly and visibly with safety was described.
