Abstract;Sensors effective for the reduction of lighting electric power and the application method were described. The following were introduced: the features of Melsave system ( made by Mitsubishi Electric Lighting) for automatic lighting regulation using a illuminance sensor, automatic switch (made by Matsushita Electric Works) with a heat ray sensor for building, precautions and wiring for the use of a heat ray sensor, effect of the automatic lighting systems and specification for the illuminance sensor and illuminance controller.
