Abstract;The first time, the optical absorption experiment for b-FeSi2 under pressure was carried out. The absorption edge shifted to the higher energy site with the pressure coefficient of the 15.9meV/GPa. On the other hand, the band structure under pressure was calculated by the FLAPW method. The calculated result agrees with the experimental result, qualitatively. (author abst.)
