Abstract;A gas-filled type recoil separator (GARIS) has been installed at an experimental hall of RIKEN Linear Accelerator (RILAC) facility. Using the separator with high intensity heavy ion beams from RILAC, we plan to search for new isotopes, including those of new elements whose atomic number is greater than 113. In this report, we present the status of heavy element synthesis in RIKEN. (author abst.)
