Abstract;Epithermal neutron activation analysis in conjunction with the Compton suppression .GAMMA.-ray spectrometry using Ge-BGO detector system has been performed for the determination of trace amounts of iodine in various biological samples such as human diets, bovine muscle, non-fat milk powder, oyster tissue and human thyroid. From obtained detection limits of iodine, effects of epithermal activation and Compton suppression measurement were evaluated. (author abst.)
