Abstract;Concentrations of trace elements at the sediment-water interface in Lake Biwa were determined by neutron activation analysis. Release of iron, manganese and arsenic from the sediment to the pore water was observed under anoxic conditions. Determination of phosphorus has been undergoing for obtaining the relation of eutrophication in the lake to reduction-oxidation potential in the lake water. (author abst.)
