| Abstract;This report is the result of 3 years' work done by the Standardization Committee of the Japanese Society for Medical Mycology, during the period 1998-2000. The major issues included are the following: (1) Multicenter evaluation of antifungal susceptibility testing. (2) Comparison of methods for clinical evaluation of external antifungal agents. (3) Reviews of recently published basic papers on vaccination of deep-seated mycoses. It is hoped that this report will be a useful information source for basic and/or clinical research, laboratory examinations and clinical practice in the field of medical mycology. (author abst.) |
