| Abstract; This paper describes the efficiency of the mechatronics learning system using the LEGO MindStorms. This system is developed mainly for early teenagers to study the basic knowledge on mechatronics and to experience mechatronic system using robots. Previous system has three steps: assembling robotic mechanism as hardware by referring examples, programming, and development so student can study satisfying his condition or interest. Trial experiment has been carried out on Techno-Festa in Hamamatsu and efficiency has been confirmed. System has been revised paying attention to mechanisms and movement, because mechatronic or robtic system is built on some mechanism to achieve some movement and mechanism consists of various parts. So about fifty robots are categorized by used mechanism and basic mechanisms which can be built by using LEGO blocks and parts are explained in detail. (author abst.) |
