Abstract;This paper describes the stereo vision system for the robot which moves with looking at the floor face. The vision system was inclined toward the floor with about 40 degrees tilt angle. We propose a matching method of stereo images for detecting obstacle on the floor. The method is effective to find the staircase. (author abst.)
