Abstract;Recently, we have developed a 1ms high speed target tracking that is used in the robot control based on visual servoing. Thus, in these applications, we used one vision system so that we can only obtain 2-dimensional information from a captured image whereas the 3-dimensional information is needed for the robot control applications. In this paper we propose a 3D high speed target tracking using two active vision systems with our 1ms high speed vision systems. Without using stereo method, we can calculate 3D feature values to obtain 3D information from independently extracted 2D image feature values from two vision systems. By the high speed target tracking in our active vision system, target is always placed on the center of the image, so that calculations of 3D reconstruction can be easily realized. (author abst.)
