Abstract;This paper presents a new method of obstacle and floor region extraction based on three dimensional distance information. This system recognizes obstacles and floor region by robust region segmentation in image space and feature space and perspective transformation in region segregation. Experimental results have confirmed robustness and applicability of this system with real scenes. (author abst.)
