Abstract;Due to conventional interlaced-scan CCD camera and long processing time for obstacle recognition, our mobile robot is prevented from successive movement. In this study, we used a progressive-scan CCD camera so as to take an image with movement. And we propose a coordinate-date-oriented processing use a pixel position extract circuit, instead of pixel-data oriented processing. Which can largely reduce the volume of information of image data, thereby whole processing time is reduced. (author abst.)
