Abstract;A case (56-year-old woman) of thyroidal squamous cell carcinoma transferred from thyroidal papillary adenocarcinoma showing the smooth clinical course after the excision is reported. Clinical courses (total thyroidectomy, dissection of the lymph nodes) and pathological findings are shown. Squamous cell carcinoma parts in this case are highly differentiated and are similar to papillary carcinoma, and transition from papillary carcinoma is indicated. Considerable parts in the infiltrated advanced part revealed the profiles of the pure squamous cell carcinoma without intermingling with papillary carcinoma, and were accompanied by the clear cornification.
