| Abstract;Following topics on chemical genomics will be presented. These include, 1) design and synthesis of tailor-made DNA alkylating agents possessing anticancer activity, 2) molecular design of DNA mismatch recognition molecules and its use for SNPs detection, 3) development of new methods for light-triggered gene manipulation, 4) mechanistic studies of DNA-mediated electron transfer process, 5) design of artificial DNAs of novel functions such as parallel DNA, 6) mapping of HOMO of duplex DNA.
