Abstract;The vertigo is defined to be a condition in which the recognition on position and attitude of the body of oneself in the space is felt to be different from the condition which it should be and is accompanied with discomfort. When the patient complains of the vertigo, it may be any of the items in the following scope:1) Rotating vertigo, 2) Floating sensation, diziness, 3) Dark sensation before the eye, feeling faint, 4) Parallel failure and ataxia. By the detailed inquiry, the judgement is made which item can be applicable. Diseases and conditions to be causes of the vertigo are various and the major cause diseases are arranged in the table. The diagnosis to the considerable parts can be made by the inquiry and the diagnosis findings. In the former, the confirmation of the blood pressure, pulse and existence of the anemia in bulbar conjunctiva should not be forgotten. As points in the latter, the ataxia, nystagmus and other symptoms are mentioned.
