| Abstract;Polymyositis and dermatomyositis are representatives of the inflammatory muscular disease, which are clinically classified by the existence of the cutis symptom. However, recently the difference between polymyositis and dermatomyositis in the immune background becomes clear gradually. The theory that both are diseases based on the different disease states becomes influential. The purposes of the examination is divided roughly into the following : 1) Differential diagnosis and seriousness diagnosis of the myositis, 2) Retrieval of complications, 3) Therapy effect decision and follow-up. Though the polymyositis and dermatomyositis are contracted and treated in muscle symptom mainly on muscle weakness, the cases which visit hospital with anxious constitutional symptoms such as exothermic reaction and weight loss are also considered. Then, it becomes important to show that the inflammatory change exists in the muscular tissue at the beginning. And, it is important for the treatment and follow-up afterwards to grasp the seriousness at that time. |
