| Abstract;The muscular dystrophy is the progressive muscular disease in which the skeletal muscle is damaged primarily by gene abnormality. The advance of the rapid genetic engineering for more than 10 years clarified various diseased gene loci and the products. It is divided roughly into sex chromosome recessive heredity, autosomal dominant gene, autosomal recessive gene from the heredity type. In the muscular dystrophy, respiratory muscle and heart muscle, in addition to the limbs muscle and trunk muscle, are also violated, whiich brings about the fatal dysfunction. The examination procedures for accurate diagnosis and appropriate management were outlined. It is forbidden to decide the diagnosis only by the clinical opinion. It is important to step on each stage steadily. Here, the following items were describec as stages : 1) Differential diagnosis, 2) Disease type diagnosis of muscular dystrophy (gene diagnosis, immune tissue diagnosis), 3) Seriousness diagnosis, 4) Decision of treatment effect and follow-up. |
