| Abstract;The pneumonia treatment guideline of the Japan pneumology association announced in 2000 reflects the actual circumstances of pneumonia medical care in Japan and seems to be a usable edition. Then, the promotion method of clinical examination based on this guideline was outlined in this paper. It is necessary to carry out the seriousness decision first when the pneumonia is suspected from clinical manifestation, test result, and image opinion. Seriousness classification in this guideline seems to be usable. This is a convenient method to decide by 5 items of chest radiograph and body opinions (body temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, existence of the dehydration), and it can be easily used even in the outpatient clinic. And, the American thorax society (ATS) guideline was also introduced. The seriousness classification of the pneumonia was arranged in the table. |
